Lightsey Darst is a writer and critic based in Durham. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Lightsey spent nine years covering dance in Minneapolis before moving to Durham in 2013. She has been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts for both literature and dance criticism, as well as a Minnesota Book Award. Her books of poetry are Find the Girl and DANCE (2010 and 2013, both from Coffee House Press).

Justin Tornow is a North Carolina native, currently located in Durham, NC. She is the artistic director of COMPANY, a producer of the local artist series PROMPTS, and a co-founder and -organizer with Durham Independent Dance Artists (DIDA.) Justin’s work is often collaborative and inter-disciplinary, partnering with composers and musicians, film and video artists, and visual artist Heather Gordon. Her projects have been presented by Tanzart Atelier in Germany, 21c Hotel and Museum, UGA Dancz Center for New Music, The UNC Process Series, the Sax Open Festival in Strasbourg, France, UGA-Cortona in Cortona, Italy, Durham Independent Dance Artists (DIDA,) Triangle Dance Project, GSO Fringe Festival, DUMBO Dance Festival, CoolNY Festival, Philly Fringe, and the NC Dance Festival. In 2010, Justin received an MFA in Choreography from UNC-Greensboro; she lived and worked in NYC from 2010-2013, and relocated to Durham, NC in June 2013. Justin has recently served as artist-in-residence at Tanzart Atelier in Germany, guest artist at NC State University and part-time dance faculty at UNC-Greensboro, teaching studio courses in technique, composition, and repertory. http://www.companydances.com/

Alyssa Noble is a modern dancer, choreographer, and arts activist. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Alyssa Noble earned her BFA in Dance and her MS in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since moving to the Triangle in 2011, Alyssa has performed work by Leah Wilks, Anna Barker/real.live.people, Stephanie Blackmon Woodbeck, Monet Noelle Marshall, and The Bipeds, in addition to co-producing and performing work with Allie Pfeffer as A+A Dance Company. In May 2016, Alyssa joined the Durham Independent Dance Artists (DIDA) team, and she's been making dance happen in Durham ever since!
